"I gifted myself this machine for my birthday and i’m so happy I did it, the coffee tastes way better than my dripping coffee machine, i love latte and my husband loves americano and i love the tamping system it makes it so easy and no mess at all , first i was confused between la specialista and the fully automatic machines but now i can tell that la specialista won because it gives you the option to customize your coffee and the way you froth the milk . Love it ! And I highly recommend it!"

Impressive design and engineering

"The DeLonghi La Specialista Prestigio is an impressive feat of design and engineering. I'm coming from years of using various semi-automatic espresso machines from another reputable brand. I took a leap of faith with the La Specialista Prestigio and I'm happy I did it. The design of the machine is awesome. Make no mistake, this is a big machine, proportionate but still big. The stainless steel combined with the gauge and buttons makes sense. On another note: it's a surprisingly silent machine. Both grinder and extraction are a couple of notches more silent compared to other machines I owned. The smart tamping feature is exactly what the name suggests: smart! No mess and a perfectly tamped shot. One thing to always follow is to only remove the portafilter from the grinder while the tamping lever is down. Room for improvement? Yes! I would call this machine La Specialista Individualista (individualistic) :-) Reason is that there is no way to address multiple profiles. A multiple profile on this machine would make me rate La Specialista to 12 on a 1 to 10 scale :-)"

Very happy thus far

"We were planning on going for a full auto machine when we came accros the Specialista Prestgio and we don’t regret it one bit. Very simple to set up and use. Loads well, grinds well, built in tamper works well and the frother works beautifully with just the right amount pof pressure. Once you tailor the settings to your own preferences, it makes a nice beverage in a short amount of time. We also appreciate the three year warranty when we registered the product."
