Works great. No bellow needed.
"This is an upgrade for me from Eureka Mignon Facile, which is also a good grinder. This has much larger burrs, which grind the beans to perfect, fluffy consistency, much more quickly. It does 17 grams of coffee in about six seconds. It's a bit messy. I tried dosing directly into the portafilter, with a dosing ring. But the force of the grinds coming out pushed everything to the back of the ring. Not great. So I'm grinding into the the metal cup and transferring to portafilter. That works really well, but, oddly, the cup is not perfectly centred under the spout. It looks like it is. The wooden platform is centred. The metal base is centred. But the cup somehow is slightly off centre. The bellows do nothing, so I don't even bother with them. The coffee comes out without using them, and the process is much easier without them. I'm only using this for espresso. The dial is terrific for making tiny espresso-required adjustments. But it's almost useless for making big adjustments for other brewing methods. If you can spend this much for a dedicated espresso grinder, you'll love it."
