- Commercial Grouphead. Ensure even heat and water distribution with this chrome-plated marine brass grouphead, for a superior brewing environment and more consistent espresso extraction.

The quality and durability is first-class all the way. It is easy to use with simple controls. There are a few tricks to learn in order to keep the machine clean and at optimum operating readiness but that is to be expected in a quality product. Bravo!"

Pros: Durable Construction: Commercial-grade metal and brass components with a sturdy plastic water reservoir. Classic Design: A reliable, time-tested machine that holds up well for years. Cons: 1. Made in Spain: My unit was stamped "Made in Spain" instead of Italy. Apparently Rancilio shifted production in 2023, but while performance is unchanged, the lack of Italian manufacturing was disappointing. 2. More Plastic Parts: Key components like the toggle switches, steam knob, and group-head cover are now plastic, making them feel cheaper and more brittle. 3. Subpar Portafilter: The included OEM Commercial Double Spout Portafilter is lower quality than the expected Rancilio Professional Grade Portafilter, with a flimsy plastic feel. Optional Upgrades: Professional Grade Portafilter or a bottomless portafilter. Upgrade the brew basket to 18g, 20g, or 22g. Double-hole steam wand tip for better milk frothing. Final Thoughts: The Rancilio Silvia M v6 is a reliable choice for enthusiasts who enjoy tinkering and customizing. "This is a very good machine. Coffee does taste better with it. Specific amount of ground coffee is crucial in order to make it operate. This issue should be explained in the instructions, but apart from that, I’m very happy with my machine."
