"We are very satisfied with the service from HomeCoffeeSolutions and the performance of our (new) DeLonghi Eletta Cappuccino Super Automatic Espresso ECAM44660B (Black) - REFURBISHED machine. After the first one failed, and I provided video proof, they responded promptly and sent a new machine which is working fine after the first week. The various coffees are great! The only negative comment I have is that they compared this machine and said this was "originally priced at $2,699.99 CAD" . This was misleading as I could get no other reference to this price, unless they compared it with a later model. I am not sure what 'refurbished' means but this looked like a brand new machine. There was slight damage to the power cord. I would recommend this machine and dealing with HomeCoffeeSolutions."

Good Value

"Can't tell its refurbished. Looks new to me. Only 11 shots on stats page. Very similar in function to my old ECAM3500 Magnifica, but makes a much better Latte. Americano is much the same quality. If its as durable (20,000 plus shot) as the old Magnifica I will be very happy."

I wanted to use the

"I wanted to use the machine for a few weeks before leaving a review. There were a few hiccups, but nothing serious. When you unplug the unit it can get a bit confused, and needs to be power cycled a couple times. Delonghi included the wrong milk frother, but Home Coffee Solutions had a new one shipped within a week. The unit is quite large, so be sure to measure your counter space. Before making a coffee be sure that the grounds container isn't full, that it has beans, and that the water is topped up. If any of these things run short during the cycle, you'll need to start over, which can waste beans and time. Be sure to read the manual about how to set your preferred drink temperature. Running the rinse cycle a couple times definitely produces hotter drinks. The only real criticism I can level at the unit is that it's a bit loud when warming up and grinding, so if you're an early riser, you're going to wake everyone else up. The Eletta has a bit of a learning curve to navigate all the buttons and options, but you soon get the hang of it. Coming from a Nespresso Vertuo, I'm impressed with the quality of the milk drinks and the flavour of the espresso shots, which is definitely a step up. One feature the Eletta has that other models don't is a double boiler, so you can quickly switch from milk/hot water to pulling a shot. It's also one of the few still made in Italy, if that matters to you. While the Eletta is an investment, I drink about three coffees a day, so moving from Vertuo pods to this will save a lot of money in the long run, and the coffee quality is a big upgrade."
