"This does everything, brilliantly well-programmed to do it all, even the cleaning. Our favourite is the cold brew! Only complaint is that for a large machine the water reservoir needs filling frequently, because of all the rinsing it does. Its definitely an asset for coffee-lovers, on a completely different level. Why bother to buy coffee elsewhere when you can have it and relax at home!"

Good but….

"The packaging and condition of this item was 5 stars. I would purchase from Home Coffee Solutions again. The machine itself is up for debate. For a high end computerized unit it has some flaws - IMO. It wasn’t until we moved the machine to a different place and plugged it back in that the Steamer and Cortado options became available. The ability to customize appears to be limited to what the machine allows. There are 4 settings for coffee strength and 4 sizes for liquid. And if the amount of liquid doesn’t fit in your cup you are left with half a cup (unless you’re standing at the ready to hit the “extra” button) or it will overflow your cup. The amount of beans ground is still too much for a simple coffee. And that is with it set to its coarsest ground. I think the settings should be on a slide and not a “hard” option. It goes through a lot of water but it is very easy to fill. I still have not discovered how or why the drip tray collects water as I have a vessel that collects all water used for cleaning. Is there a leak? Maybe…. The ease with which to make milk based drinks is fabulous! As this was a main reason we purchased this it has met our expectations on this front. Although my complaint for adjusting qty remains. I either have to stop making the drink or get a smaller amount in my cup. We have found the volume of this machine to be acceptable. Yes, it’s loud but our bean grinder was loud too. I like that it automatically shuts off after a set time but again, for the level of machine being able to set my own time frame would be better and far more useful. We have only has this for a few weeks so have not tried the cold brew options (still winter in 🇨🇦) but we are hoping they are as good as the hot drinks. In time maybe I will discover how to make more accurate adjustments to qty of brews. The directions while decent are lacking and there are very few instructional videos online. The one feature I love is the self cleaning of the unit. Finish a milk drink and it cleans itself. Aside from a good scrubbing once a week this is the easiest appliance I own to maintain! The app is quite useless. Not sure what the point of it is. And it takes several tries to even get it to connect. I found this is a common problem when I searched for a solution. I am hopeful that since this is a connected unit, in time DeLonghi will make updates to the app that would allow you to make precise adjustments to your drink and customize it further to your own mugs. Would I buy this again….probably not. I think for the price it lacks to many features that would have been easy to have on this unit. There are other machines on the market for half the price with great features."

Decent Machine

"If you're not into cold coffee drinks buy something less expensive; otherwise it's a well built machine. I wish the water reservoir was bigger. My biggest complaint is that the coffee isn't as hot as I like it, but I like my coffee hot. It may not be an issue for most. I bought an open box unused machine and saved a lot of money otherwise it would have been too expensive for my liking."
