In some cases, if the machine’s original seal has worn down, been replaced, or is no longer factory-tight (as can happen over time or after cleaning), the portafilter may feel slightly looser or have difficulty locking securely. This is not a defect in the portafilter itself and does not affect performance when used with a properly sealed machine. OEM baskets will not fit in HCS portafilter.
