"My first E61 coffee machine , it’s a good upgrade to my previous setup and it looks great too on my counter ."
"I brew light roast Yirgacheffe. I installed a Coffee Sensor thermometer but so far it's still difficult to maintain the group head temperature in the correct range using the 3-way switch and flushing. This includes brewing successive shots."
"I had a Gaggia Classic Pro (9 bar and steam nozzle mods) for two years, but wanted to upgrade. Don’t get me wrong, the GCP is a great machine, but boy is it finicky, and a lot of work to get the perfect pull. After a bunch of research, I settled on the Profitec Pro 400. It’s negligibly larger than the GCP, which is important with my limited counter space, and has automatic pre infusion which is an important upgrade for me. Ordered on a Friday afternoon, received on Tuesday. I was not prepared for just how easy it is to pull a near perfect shot right out of the box; two shots to get it dialled in. Then there’s the steam. Wow. So much better than the GCP. I am now one week in to using it, and am making way more espresso, simply because of how much of a joy it is to use. Sure, the warmup time could be less, but it’s not even remotely a dealbreaker for me."
"Upgraded from a Dedica to this as I just wanted to skip all the middle-range machines, and go right to the endgame. So far, this (and the Eureka grinder) have combined for coffee that takes out all the bad flavors (sourness, bitterness, astringency, etc) and leaves in only the good stuff. It's on par what you would receive from a nice cafe and that's not even an exaggeration, the taste of the coffee I've gotten out so far is heavenly except the first few cups when I was dialing in (and I also use some nice fresh beans from a local cafe). The steam wand is also very easy, even easier than cheaper machines, there's no techniques really needed, just aerate a little bit and set it on the driptray and you got silky, smoothy milky. Picture provided (ignore the art pls), but you can see just how smooth that foam is with zero regard for steaming technique. Since this was a bundle, the Eureka grinder is just so nice compared to my SGP. It does produce some clumping, but it's minimal and you can even get away with skipping WDT if you want, and go straight to tamping and still get amazing results. Plus you can just tell when its grinding, it produces a strong coffee aroma when grinding. Cons: Aren't too many outside of what you'd expect from an E61 machine. Expect maintenance (my hot water spout already is starting to squeak), clean often. Also do not overtighten the valves as those are prone to breaking. The manual even advises this, but I wish that wasn't something I had to worry about when closing the valves."
"Well built. Makes great coffee and easy to use. Will enjoy for many years"
"Bought it as a gift for my husband. Very good espresso machine. He’s thrilled and so satisfied with it! Btw, shipping was so fast!"
"Originally bought the Breville Barista touch and from the beginning temp issues with the water out of the portafilter. After the 4th machine returned it to breville. The taste difference between the touch and the Pro 400 are worlds apart. Fantastic machine really easy to dial in and the consistency is perfect every time. I'm really happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone getting into the market. Its a head turner every time friends are over. Even if they don't like espresso they have one anyways!"
"Delivery was VERY fast, well packaged, item is in pristine condition upon arrival. Quality of the machine is outstanding. I've been (obviously) making the best coffee i've ever made. Thanks!"
"Super compact machine, perfect size when you don't have a separate coffee station in the kitchen. The machine is ready for use after 10 minutes, easy and quick access to the brew pressure screw. It looks great on the kitchen counter. So far I am very happy with the purchase."
"Great machine and grinder for home use 1-2 cups a day. The packaging was great in duble box and arrived on time."
