How Much Caffeine Does Matcha Have?
A single teaspoon of matcha contains 30 - 35 mg of caffeine ― equivalent to a full cup of brewed coffee. Additionally, Matcha contains an ingredient known as L-Theanine, which helps to release the caffeine more slowly. This is much healthier as the caffeine-rush in regular coffee is what often causes jitters and uneasiness. The slow release due to L-Theanine is known to produce a calming effect and increase concentration levels. With Matcha, you will get the same caffeine content as a cup of well-brewed coffee but longer-lasting calm-energy
