Five tamping profiles and adjustable pressure from 5–30 kg let baristas fine-tune extraction to suit any coffee recipe, while the non-stick piston coating reduces waste and simplifies cleaning. What tamp pressure should I set my PUQ Press at?
PUQ recommends starting at 30 lbs (14 kg) of pressure, then adjusting up or down based on your extraction results. The adjustable range is 10–30 kg on the Mini, and 5–30 kg on the Q, Pro, and Integrated models, in 1 kg increments.
Can I change the tamper diameter after purchasing?
Yes — changing the tamper diameter only takes about 30 seconds. If you are switching between a tamper smaller than 56 mm and one larger than 56 mm (or vice versa), the upper clamp must also be changed. Contact your local dealer for support with upper clamp replacements.
